Using a deep study and exegesis of Luke’s writings, as well as open discussion, prayer and sharing, we will unpack the abundant Gift that the Jesus of Luke’s Gospel was/is for our world! The themes Luke emphasized in his Gospel and Acts are as relevant for us today as they were in his own time – the role of the Holy Spirit, his frequent stories of women, Jesus’ healing miracles, the social & spiritual “reversals” God calls us to, and Luke’s pervasive meal and eating themes. We will combine preached reflections, dialogue and sharing, quiet time and personal faith renewal experiences in this powerful retreat time. “Come away with me awhile”, to be refreshed, renewed and energized!
